problem. I watched Keita vs BYU and thought he is Utah's athletic Atiki but a little more skilled and could stay on the floor longer w/o fouling. From KY to media reports they comment on Mag's great defense w/o mentioning his offense. Mag did not make B1G all-defense. I don't doubt he plays great D, but I need to see him in action before I conclude he's miles better than Fous on D.

Offensively Fous beats Mag statistically in 2023-24 in EVERY per game ESPN reported category. So this is 2 players in top flight major conferences. Despite playing 9 minutes LESS per game than Mag, Fous' scoring was nearly 2 pts higher, 1.5 rebounds higher, slightly higher assists, free throws, much higher FG% and blocks. If you argue Mag can shoot 3s, I say look again: Mawot shot poorly --under 25% last year. Mag is listed at 1 inch taller but lighter than Fous. If you have some +/- numbers or advanced metrics showing Mag's or Keita's superiority, I'll listen. All those ESPN data points indicate: Distinct Advantage Fous offensively.

Keita is listed at 2 inches taller than Fous and averaged 2 mins less per game. Why such low PT in the easier PAC12? Fous bests Keita significantly in assists, points/game, FT% (a bad 56% (42% the prior year), which is an inarguable offensive liability, and may explain why Keita could not get more mins, vs Fous's good 72%). Traore also has a slightly better FG%. Rebounds are nearly the same. Fous' turnovers are the one area where Keita wins: 0.9 vs 1.7. Decided Advantage: Fous. 

Fous runs the court fine and weighs more than a lot of 5s, and nobody I have seen is stronger. Traore has a soft, shooter's touch around the basket, which I don't see as much in either Mag and Keba. So offensively these guys are liabilities on offense relative to Fous, and none of them are great at shooting 3s.

So tell me why the CB crowd and some writers start Mag & Keita over Traore. If the argument is the others fit KY's offense, how do we really know that today without having seen one minute of KY college bball? Of course, time will tell who is right.
