I got to watch Willie Mays as a kid in the late 60's. I grew up in the Bay Area
and baseball was my first sport. My buddies and I would always imitate Mays catching a fly ball. I had a aunt who was a cook for some rich family living in Burlingame, and this family had season 1st baseline box seat to the Gaints. They would not always go to all the games, and sometimes my aunt would get the tickets! My dad, sister, and uncle would go to the games, and this happened a lot. One memory that stands out was we got to go to a double header, and Mays hit 2 out that day. And Willie McCovey also hit one out!

The "say hey" kid was always a favorite!
