My wife isn't a big fan of the sculpture and much prefers the Hoberman arch from the 2002 Winter Olympics you see as you leave the airport. I have shown her the display in the waiting area for missionaries that explains the meaning, symbolism etc. for the sculpture. That hasn't changed her opinion.

She happens to know one of the engineers who is part of the airport renovation. She asked him today what he thought of it. Then she asked him how much the sculpture of the mountains cost. His answer.....$9 Million dollars. Yikes. The price tag didn't make it any easier for her to like it. LOL
