A great guy in my ward moved out to my town last August to run staffing for our local university's athletic events. Prior to this he did similar work for the same contractor at the U of U. Without warning they cut him loose right after basketball season, probably to cut costs. He saw the same thing happen to his immediate supervisor at the U.

He's been applying to everything he can find nationwide in the events space, but is not having any success. He's a wonderful guy in his fifties. The job market is not good for him right now. He's also applied for work outside his desired field. He has good references from previous jobs.
