Having competitive money on the table is VERY important, though. Having key staff links w the recruits was too.
It was VERY important to sign a killer class in KY's first season, so hats off on multiple levels.
We clearly wouldn't be pulling it off, though — I think, UNLESS KY were walking the walk as a promising HC, though. As well as talking the talk as a deal-closer with these recruits & their families.

I think the spike in recruiting is more about funding, but KY is clearly no slouch as a first year HC.
