I think Pope leaving abruptly caught BYU AD off guard a bit & forced a new way
...of thinking and how they have to operate to stay relevent. ...bball right now (and hopefully football next).
I see the Pope departure as being a (positive) wake up to Sr. AD officials and they knew they had to respond in a big way. Well, so far, it's couldn't have been better from my perspective.
If BYU has 2 draftees in the first round following a sweet 16 (or better) appearance, a year from now, BYU Bball will have ascended to a new level moving forward.
