A team can be "better" because they're older, more experienced, have better cohesion and team chemistry, free from drama, or because they have more talent. A team with more raw talent may or may not be "better" on the court than a less talented team if the team with less talent has more experience, leadership, etc.

It is unequivocally true that the 2024-25 team will have much more talent and will be much deeper than the 2023-24 team. We're also going to have a lot of players on the team who are in their first year in the program. I expect us, with the bump up in talent, to be "better" this coming year, but until we see how they play together as a team in KY's system, nobody knows if we'll be "better" than we were last year. Most people expect us to be better, but nobody knows for sure.
