I was gifted a set of Vortex Diamondbacks a few years ago
Absolutely love them and I would highly recommend.
I know there are more higher end optics out there, but at the price point I don’t know that they could be beat.
If you’re in the Utah area, Al’s often has Vortex products on sale.

I like my Nikon Monarch M7 (8x42) binoculars for birding. They’re not top of the line, but a good pair for under $500.
