Either a) Amazon has already refunded him, because he mentions the fan was sent to him on accident by amazons mistake and so he has nothing to lose by letting UPS pitch it in the trash or b) Amazon charges him for it when they don’t get it back and if he gets in the live chat with customer service they’ll just refund the fan anyway after hearing his story because it’s easiest to just refund.
It’s still pretty low life human behavior he’s bragging about. The cost of that fan is born by someone. We can hope it’s shared by all Amazon customers, but worst case a small business owner who is trying to manage an Amazon store front and has to now bear the cost because Amazon will take the credit but not provide back the item.
