That has me wondering who is smarter, the donkey or the elk? And who is tougher? Is that donkey an asset to the elk herd
or is he getting more out of the arrangement than they are?

I know that donkeys are smart, and they can be very protective (so they make great watchdogs for sheep, for example). But I assume elk don't need that kind of assistance.

Or maybe what I'm really wondering is, if that donkey decided to challenge the bull elk for dominance of the herd, who would win?
