I get that he balls out, it just never happened down the stretch. People have said “well yeah Pope’s system didn’t allow that!” But that sort of misses the key point that clutch go to guys will figure out ways to get themselves the ball. Competitors don’t just shrug and say “okay, well I guess I’ll just not score the last 5 minutes of the tourney game.”

He’s a solid contributor, but it always felt like he wouldn’t be the guy we could build the team on. Maybe he could have been perfect alongside Demin or something, idk.
