...CB was all doom and gloom about BYU Bball and Pope et al prior to the start of the season, then all the sudden, BYU has its best year in quite awhile, in the most difficult conference in all of college bball no less.
I definitely think there are some holes in some of the position groups, but I am confident BYU will do better this year than they did last year.
BYU gave Oklahoma and OK State all they could handle as the team started gelling toward the end of the season.
I think OL will be better this year (can't get much worse than it was) ...and due to an improved OL + run game coordination through Woods, I think RB room will be much more productive as well.
QB is the wild card... Retzlaff showed glimpses of what he could do, but his decision making needs to improve, which it will via more live snaps. I think WR's have a lot of upside and great targets for Retzlaff (assuming he starts)
Also kind of excited to see what TE's can do this year. Swanson sounds like he has all the attributes to become great. Also want to see how KHill translates in his new TE role.
I think LB's are going to be a strength but a little concerned w/ secondary (JRob is solid but how does Micah Harper look w/ two repaired ACLs?) and DL still iffy... was bummed Saili bailed as he could have been a big upgrade.
