Had a fun experience with my girls at the Cougar Cub camp today.
I've got 11 year old twins and they are really getting into basketball this year and they were very excited to meet some actual college players. I think they were a little disappointed in how much actual basketball skills training was done but they'll definitely remember the experience and loved interacting with the players. One of my girls was put in a group that was coached by one of the new transfers Marya Hudgins and they really liked her.

Right after we went across the street to checkout Legacy Hall. They have a little rack of various posters that we assumed were free to take. So my girls and my nephew grabbed a couple. The men's basketball poster features Dawson Baker, Dallin Hall and Richie Saunders. Well one of my girls just happened to grab one that had been signed by Dawson and Dallin, no sure how or why. We couldn't find any others in the stack that had been signed. They were very pumped.

After that for some reason I thought it would be cool to drive over and show them the practice facility and Marriott Center. I assumed we wouldn't be able to go in or anything but thought they might still think it's cool. So we walked up to the practice facility and were just looking through the window. I was looking at a video they had playing on the large screen in the lobby and one of my girls said she saw a girl in there. Turns out it was Marya in there by herself getting some shots up and she saw my girls looking in. She ran over and opened the door and asked if we wanted to come in and check it out. She then just started giving us a guided tour of the facility room by room which was very cool. It totally made my girls day (and probably mine tbh). My girls changed their phone wallpapers from Caitlyn Clark to Marya Hudgins right after. We'll definitely be catching some girls games this year as a result.
