I’m visiting Niagara Falls and ended up on the Maid of the Mist with hundreds of graduating 8th graders. If you’ve been there, you know that on the US side, everyone is given a blue poncho and on the Canadian side, everyone gets a red poncho.

So you can tell which side of the border the boat in front of you came from by the color of poncho everyone has on in the boat.

Well, we’re heading towards the falls and we’re passing by the boat that had just come from the falls and the people had on red ponchos. Fairly quickly, these 8th graders start chanting in unison, “USA! USA! USA!”

These were kids that I assume are from the New York school system and they’re from all walks of life. I think we’re going to be just fine.
