He destroyed playoff-bound Houston and was named AFC Offensive player of the week. He got injured in his next and last game, where he was pressured on an astounding 78% of his dropbacks. But still credited with only 1 bad throw that game.
But the narrative remains he sucked and had a fair shot.
You can’t get comfortable in an offense if you’re running for your life. And he was the ONLY QB in the NFL (other than A-Rod) who was pressured on more than 30% of his dropbacks last year.
Despite that, he was top 10 (or maybe #11) in on-target percentage in the NFL.
