My wife reminds me of a trip where the children were taken to this fancy trip and after all day activities, the children wanted to play in the hotel pool. They enjoyed that immensely. Upon return when queried as to their favorite memory, "playing in the pool."

So the rides, ice cream and all the activities were not the memory. Yikes.

Our children also traveled abroad. "Do you remember when we were in Venezuela?"

"Not, really, I kinda remember a jungle."
