In basketball, it is VERY rare for someone who begins at a JUCO to ever make it
to a top conference, unless their route through JUCO was due to academic issues.
There are 351 D-1 basketball programs and hundreds more D-2 and D-3 that are higher levels than JUCO. If a kid isn't getting offers from four year programs, he probably isn't a high-level D-1 prospect at any point. College football is different.
