The rink and seats are set up as if it were game day. Pretty cool to walk around and feel the excitement of professional hockey. I did not join the seat deposit list until it had passed 20K seat deposits, so I don't know what will be left when my turn comes. The non-club seats are priced about 50% higher than I was expecting. The 500+ club seats are the first 6 or so rows around the rink, including the ends, and are priced for those with lots of money or corporations.
Just FYI - there are seats in the corners of the lower bowl that are obstructed view where you lose a corner of the ice as far in as the face-off circle. That's a pretty big obstruction, IMO, and should be avoided. With that said, those seats are slightly cheaper, so the pricing map does consider this.
If I do have a chance to buy tickets, I will opt for the half-season option (20/21 home games). That's still too many games for our personal schedules. I read that there are several of you, because of the high price tag and/or other time commitments, who can't do season tickets but might be interested in attending a handful of games. I would be willing to sell five games at a time at face value to anyone who might be interested if I am able to secure tickets. I won't learn my selection date/time until this Friday.
I will post again if we get the lower bowl tickets we are hoping for and re-state the offer above. Looking forward to the NHL in Utah!
