There's a former co-worker that from 2-7 years ago I considered one of my closest friends. A few things happened that caused us to not be quite as close, but it's primarily been his entering into a secret relationship behind his long term partner's back. I told him a couple of times that was a bad idea and I didn't support it, but after that have tried not to be preachy. He had done this before, maybe 8-9 years ago and it ended very badly.

Well, it all just blew up in his face again and he's seeking comfort and solace. No sense preaching at him now, but really not interested in acting too much as a shoulder to cry on either. He didn't grow up with the best role models in the world, but come on ... at some point you have to learn your lesson and learn to make better choices in life!

Oh, and the affair was with his boss at work. And now her husband knows. And now that it's in the open, they're considering moving in together ... 'cause your know, there's no chance they'd cheat on EACH OTHER!!
