Watched some full game footage of Real Madrid U18. Here’s my thoughts on Demin:
He's a true point guard. He is without question Real Madrid's primary ball handler and is most comfortable when he has the ball in his hands. This kid is a 1 folks. Get used to KY going positionless basketball and multiple PG's/guards on the court a ton.
Forget all the wing/4 talk. His skill set is far more akin to LaMelo Ball than he is Andrei Kirilenko. Can guard 1-4 but on O this kid is best as a ball handler.
No question in my mind this kid views himself as a primary ball handler and dreams of being a PG at the NBA level.
Kid excels as a ball handler in transition, either as a decision maker or finisher. We are going to play FAST.
Very good ball handler and decision maker in pick and roll.
Inconsistent shooter at this stage but has the potential to become a very good shooter. Most comfortable shooting off the dribble but can catch and shoot as well. Can shoot with range.
Make no mistake, BYU now has 3 PG's with Demin, Hall, Crawford. Positionless, fast paced modern ball with multiple guards on the court together is coming in a big way. This is going to be FUN.
Based on what I've watched, this quick reel is the best summary of Egor's skill set that I've seen:
