The NBA used to have a many-round draft, but reduced it to 2 rounds in 1989. Since the reduction to 2 rounds, there has never been a year with more than 1 BYU player drafted. However, prior to that there were 12 years where more than 1 BYU player was taken in the draft. The only one of those that would be similar to having 2 players taken in a current draft was the 1951 draft when Mel Hutchins and Roland Minson were taken in the first 2 rounds.
