I have liked making my own salsa from tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro all from my own garden, but I don’t feel like I am really getting an authentic style of salsa. It’s more of a wing-it salsa. I’ve roasted the main ingredients, then boiled them, and then put them in a blender with salt, pepper, and cilantro. It ends up being orange-ish. I’ve used different types of peppers and like some kick.
If I could choose, I like the really red, less chunky, salsa.
Anybody got a plan for something like that, or anything better? Speak now while I still have space for planting in my garden.
