Like you said, no one can blame the players for looking for their best situation, but NIL and the TP have created a wound in the culture of college sports that will take a long time, if ever, to heal. If some constraints are not put in place, it will never heal, and only fester, IMO.
I'm actually losing interest, to some extent. I've always cheered for the players, not the jersey, the colors, or even the institution, and not even really the coaches. It's the players we enjoy seeing realizing their hopes and dreams. Now, with the revolving door of players, my fandom has evolved into a different flavor, taking on more of a position of "interest," and "curiosity," than deep devotion. I'm interested to see how the players perform, but have a harder time getting "devoted" to the success of anyone. And that is a sad development, IMO, no matter how many on CB tout that we need to just "face the reality" of the new college sports landscape.
