Someone at BYU got a call from their agent friend that they might be worth big bucks.

Players hold a players only meeting because they are actually decent guys and want to share info, because their loyalty is first to team.

(Almost) everyone agrees to test the waters.  Some were thinking about it anyway.  (Probably because of wormtongue agent friend)

Mass portal announcements.

Players that could actually realize some of the silver-tongued promises jumped ship.

I don't begrudge any of the players, just like I don't begrudge the coach.  But I also won't revere them as BYU heros like Lavell, Jimmer, Hartsock, Detmer, beck, etc.

What I do begrudge is the slimeball programs that 100% reached out before players were officially in the portal. Possibly while still playing ball.
