It seems that Kalani is meeting your definition of high-level success
I think the best reason for optimism is that he took the program from the depths in 2017 to two good to great seasons in 2020 & 2021. You could make a lot of arguments as to how and why but that it happened once is my reason for optimism that it could happen again.
