He absolutely wasn’t off the Market until BYU repeatedly snubbed him.
ARod didn’t want him. Tons of guys flip their commitment when the dream school comes calling. BYU never even tried with Hammond. I have it on pretty good word that ARod didn’t like his dad and that’s the main reason he wouldn’t even give him the time of day. That’s all there was to it. Maybe he’s right we will see in the next couple of years.
