It’s true. But it’s inappropriate to ask for a tip in many contexts. The people
who do that are far from innocent in this. They deserve to be called out.
I go into Baskin Robbins to buy a $3 ice cream cone from a high school kid behind the counter. When I go to check out, the machine asks if I want to leave a tip.
Give me a break.
