Not sure how I feel about that - CEO is a nice guy, but puts a lot of exposure on us. I’m fine with that (I’m confident in my work product), but always appreciated having a buffer between me and the CEO.

Sort of feel bad for my old boss - he’s been here a long time, so to get demoted is a huge hit to his ego. But, to his credit, he’s been handling it well (probably because he’s just grateful to still have a job).
