I’ve heard but don’t know for fact that many of the employees Disney relies on (writers, actors, artists, etc) push for agenda driven themes. Also, there are some activist shareholders as well. Ultimately shareholders want a return on their investments and will be profit driven. As long as what they put out returns a decent profit, they’ll continue the path they’re on. If the profits aren’t there, pressure will mount to change something
