Simply stated, just 2 reasons - BYU played horrible defense and worse offense.
1. BYU had 19 more shots.
2. They had 12 more offensive rebounds
3. They had less turnovers
4. They had more steals
But
They shot miserably, and quite simply allowed the other team to have an exceptional shooting day.
These stats are a sure fire recipe for failure on the court, and let's face it, this kind of play has become a bad habit.
