FieroCoug, is also an Oklahoma fan and says it's never been a MBB school. Their attendance at the BYU game
Tuesday was Yewtish, in spite of being rated a good portion of the year. They're one example of where BYU has a better fanbase and superior attendance. I'm not gonna do research on others, but mine is a reasonable assumption.

I don’t understand Wrubell’s obsession with attendance. If everyone else had an arena the same size as ours

This word, attendance, I don’t think it means what you think it means. Lots of teams fail to fill their arena.
