We rented a car and went to Normandy and then stayed in Mont St Michel. And we
Were only in Paris for 3 days. We ended up a little rushed in Paris but pretty much saw everything we felt needed to be seen.
And Mont St Michel was easily the best thing we did. Glad we didn't listen to similar advice.
Plus driving in France was fun and we were able to drive to Lemans and Versailles on the way back before returning the rental car. Very convenient.
