In politics, most of the board is conservative. There’s a pretty vocal group that actively participates in political discussion. If someone were to post something the conservative group doesn’t agree with, they could all tag the post for “trolling” and get the poster banned for however long. This could theoretically happen with the more liberal group, but I’m not sure it’s big enough to really make an impact, but who knows.

I could also see it getting abused by legit sports takes that CougarBoard doesn’t like. For example, if someone is down on Zach Wilson (or another BYU player), I could see them getting mass “reported” or whatever you would call it, even if it’s a legitimate opinion.

I guess I’m saying that CB would use the “troll” button the same as an “unpopular opinion” button, which are two different things.
