Surrounded by those who love him most, Gaylen Lawyer passed beyond all suffering and returned to his Father. He is, for the first time in a very long time, no longer in pain.

A giant among men, his legacy lives on in the lives of his children and grandchildren. His selfless love of family and Jesus Christ was admirable to all who knew him. The world will miss his smile and seemingly endless knowledge of the most random things.

A true BYU fan, he surely will be cheering for the cougs from his legacy seat, as he has for over 6 decades.

The world is a little bit dimmer today, as a great light has passed beyond our view. I hope his dad was the first one to greet him, he's been looking forward to meeting him for his entire life.
