BYU has everything to offer to members of the church. This is why it's so
critical that we figure out how to sell BYU to members who are serious or semi-serious about the church but didn't grow up BYU fans or in a "BYU family". We need to do better at convincing them that BYU offers the best combination of opportunity to excel on the field/court and in other areas of life. We have to perfect that sales pitch so we are persuasive without sounding self-righteous. Tough to do.

I already know what half of you are thinking...you can do that anywhere. If that is your opinion fine. I hold that BYU is a special place that is much more conducive to the spirit being a part of your development. Most universities are the opposite of that. So if that is remotely important to you BYU is the place you need to be.

Danny Saili is exhibit A for what I'm talking about. We need to make sure we never let another Danny slip through the cracks like he almost did.
