It's good to be deep, North Carolina under Roy Williams was usually 10-11 deep
His starters played around 20-25 minutes per game and he rotated 10-11 deep so that if injuries or foul trouble ever became a problem during the tournament then the other players had enough game experience during the regular season that they were prepared to step up if needed. They were a couple times UNC could've pushed for undefeated seasons if they really wanted to, but Coach Williams opted for taking some lumps during the regular season in order to better prepare for the tournament.
