Happened to me too
Although I was in a pay lot right near the arena. Obviously not well attended.
They grabbed a couple of cheap things out of the SUV. Oddly enough they didn't take the most valuable thing which was my golf clubs. Too big and conspicuous to be carrying a bag full of golf clubs down the street I suppose. I was really glad not to have lost them.
