Don't over look that. That is the main issue. Bad offensive line (blocking in general) makes the run game bad. Bad run games makes the passing game bad because the defense will just shut that down and hurry the qb. That means lots of 3 and outs or stalled drives because the offense is one dimensional and can't move. That means defense is on the field longer with less than ideal field position. That means the defense gives up lots of points. That's why we had lots of blow out losses. You fix all that by just fixing the blocking game. That's the most important position group on the field, and they sucked for most of the year. They simplified it and improved greatly the last couple games which is why we were suddenly able to compete (with 2 of the best teams on the schedule).

Is that the only issue on the team? Of course not. We can improve in other areas as well. But you fix 80% of the teams issues by fixing the offensive line. Byu showed that they have enough to compete when the offensive line does their job
