I think every game from UCLA onward was a sell out this season.
Apparently they fell back to 2nd in average attendance for the season according to Wrubel. They've been #1 average attendance more often than not over the last 10-15 years and maybe beyond. I don't know who was 1st this year though.

Upgrades I'd like to see:

1. Add a full strip of extended bleachers along the east end rather than the few little blocks with gaps in between they have there now. Maybe do the same along the west end to allow for a larger ROC section. Also create safer barriers between those ends and the field so we don't have another mishap that could have been disastrous for Erin Bailey earlier this year.

2. Install a larger more permanent video and score board on the roof of the Smith Field House so that all spectators can have a clear view and scrap the little one behind the bleachers on the east end.

3. Install permanent shelters over each team bench and the media section. Right now the video boards and pop-up canopies look ghetto compared to most of the P5 level facilities out there that have more permanent structures. Even UVU is now set to have a much nicer soccer facility albeit lesser capacity.

I'm sure some upgrades along these lines will be coming over the next few years, but I bet they're also holding back on things as they determine whether to completely rebuild the Smith Field House and when. They can't hold onto that thing forever. That may come down to making use of a portion of the old Provo High Campus for that. But for now, old Provo is being used to house the theater and dance departments and perhaps a few other departments on campus while a new HFAC is rebuilt among other construction and renovation projects happening on campus. I'm growing confident that the old Provo high will be used for Athletics facilities in the long run given track and all-purpose football field/stadium that's already there and the fact that BYU has made a land swap with Wasatch Elementary along with acquiring some other nearby plots of land surrounding campus that can all be used for academic uses and/or additional housing. So, I would expect that once the new HFAC is up and operating as well as when the new Wasatch Elementary is done being constructed, there will be some big decisions made followed by big announcements for the at least some of all that new land BYU has acquired in recent years.
