They dropped both programs abt the same time, at the beginning of

Title IX. As mentioned, there are specific rules regarding Title IX to follow. I think if BYU offers any more programs it will ones where potential attendance will be larger. For example, rugby and/or men's soccer. The Big 12 is adding beach volleyball for women so perhaps BYU will add that sport. I have no specific information regarding their future plans.

For a couple of reasons. One being that scholarship limits are determined by the NCAA.
