Arizona smoked Utah and leads 35-10, but Utah scores in garbage time then tries to score again with an on-side kick to possibly make it 35-26. Should this happen, it no longer looks like Arizona completely pummeled Utah, rather, like perhaps Utah would have won if they just had a little more time. It would shift the narrative, and for voters/people who didn't see the game, this impacts the way they see AZ. So AZ goes and scores, preserves their blowout, and the narrative. Totally justified.
