I am not the world's largest Sanderson fan because I'm not into fantasy, but his laws of magic hit the nail on the head.
If you apply these to superpowers you can see some of the ways that the MCU went wrong. Relentless desire for more money was the force behind the decisions, but these missteps on the story front have led the MCU into expanding the universe too quickly.

The First Law: An author’s ability to solve conflict with magic is DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL to how well the reader understands said magic.
(this is the least violated law in the MCU, but it also shows how the individual origin stories are the best)

The Second Law: Limitations > Powers

The Third Law: Expand what you already have before you add something new.
