Seems like the problem with building reps for next year is they hope to redshirt
Retzlaff and I don’t think they think Fennegan is really in the running for next year. So my guess is no perceived big benefit to getting Fennegan reps and downside to getting Retzlaff reps to eat a year.
So even though Slovis has been inconsistent and sometimes bad. There isn’t a strong benefit for wins this year or experience for next year to try Fennegan unless Slovis can’t play.
Fennegan probably improves QB athleticism but not sure he improves our passing game.
