This is where I have a problem with the folks that want Kalani gone. He has had 2 teams better than any other teams we've had for nearly 15 years. That alone should buy some time to figure out a transition into a P5 conference.
With where we're at, I don't think you can even consider a move unless you know you're bringing in a better replacement. Is there one out there? Unless Andy Reid thinks it's his life mission to coach at BYU before he retires, our pool is too shallow to find someone that checks enough boxes to make a change worth it.
Otherwise you're just taking a gamble. Is change for the sake of change worth it to most of you people? Can you say with complete certainty that it will improve the program?
I think if you're being honest, you can't say that. Which is why you don't make a move unless you know with certainty that Kalani can't take us where we want to go. One year in Big 12 isn't enough to make that call.
