Didn't necessarily miss something great, but left the 1999 game at New Mexico
at halftime after getting drenched in a downpour for 30 minutes during halftime. We had brought our kids with us, and they loved getting soaked in the rain. It was sort of like a little party, dancing around while getting inundated. However, with no indication on when the game might resume, my wife and I decided we should leave. We were up 24-0, so the outcome was not in doubt.

When we got in the car, the first thing I heard on the radio when I switched it on was Luke Staley's 61 yard touchdown run. To this day, I still have not seen it.

"A lightning storm, which delayed the start of the second half for 43 minutes, was the only thing that slowed down the Cougars. When play resumed, BYU freshman Lucas Staley went 61 yards untouched on BYU's first play from scrimmage for a 31-0 lead.”
