Threatening a player and his family is horrible. Should never happen.

Also - making a play with what appears to have been the sole intent of hurting someone (I'm not saying injure, but clearly he wanted the hit to hurt) after the play is over is also horrible. Especially when it results in that player going to the hospital and potential missing the next couple of games.

No one is in the right in this instance. Threats are gross and uncalled for. But a simple 15 yard penalty for sending someone to the hospital on a clearly late hit that put them out of the game - and the next 2 games as well - doesn't seem all that fair either. A DL can slap a QB on the helmet and do no harm at all and will miss more game time due to targeting. That's dumb.
