the T-Rexs, Tremors, AT4s, and Raptors. I see no advantage of the half-ton market except as a status symbol right now.
If you are going to tow or carry any sort of payload (or do work for that matter), for that kind of money, the HD market is a better (and safer) bet.
If you off-road, then the half-ton market is too bloated, dimensions suck, off road features suck, and yeah, I'm looking at you AT4, Raptor, and Tremor. The Gladiator/ZR2/TRD-Off Roads will run circles around you. I will defer to the Raptor's supreme awesomeness on a dirt racetrack, but that's a very, very specific use case. Raptors are too long of a wheelbase, too wide, and too heavy for most any technical or mixed off-road terrain. But they look way cool towing your modded $50k side by side.
Despite all the makes and models and dozens of price points, I have never been so low on the half-ton market than right now.
I think the mid-size market is on fire. I even bought me one. I would have never considered one 10 years ago.
