Speaking of interesting maps of the US, this has always been an fascinating one
to me, especially how the LDS heartland stands out relative to the rest of the country in terms of the dominant ethnicity of its immigrants. It may seem strange to many that it is most similar to northern New England in this regard, and to a much lesser extent some of Appalachia.
