My 6-year old boy has always been a huge fan of the color red. I've went along with it, not making too big a deal about it, hoping it would wear off. In the past year or so he has started to get into BYU sports but still loves the color red.
Well, he broke his elbow on Wednesday and went in today to get his cast. Not surprisingly he wanted a red cast. The Doctor opened the package for the red cast. At the last moment my son said, "Actually, I think I want the blue cast." He then proceeded to sing the cougar fight song to the doctor (also a BYU fan). He now has the blue cast and is very proud. He hopes he can get a player to sign it at the first game. This moment very well could change the trajectory of his life.
