The last time I was in SD was 2021. There were airBnBs for <$140/night all in.

But not in La Jolla. Maybe they could look around Mission Beach or Coronado.

La Jolla is very pricey. It will be tough finding a budget friendly place.

yes to all, most hotels are at $300 a night. trying to find anything

We just stayed in Oceanside for $112 per night Thursday-Saturday
